MikeOnMetal Weekly: New Heavy Music Releases – June 19 – June 26, 2026

Serpentian – Ghosts of Aeon

This album is just heavy. Start to finish, nothing but heavy beats. Heavy riffs. Heavy vocals. Not one to sit down and enjoy, not that I didn't enjoy it – it's just not an album that's going to life your spirits. The album cover is a perfect representation of the music. Dark. Suffocating. Like your will to live is being sucked from your body and pulled into an ever blackening abyss. You know me, I'm here for it.

Warthrash – No Light Shall Remain

Ripped me apart from start to finish, well almost. The acoustic style intro was a soft opening to an album that, once unleashed, doesn't let up. This one lands a little more on the Thrash side sonically, but definitely throws some Death style chunk in here and there. The vocals are Death all the way. A mix of deep, throaty main vocals with some help from that little demon that sits on our shoulder offering up some backing vocals.
