London’s own URNE are back with another absolute ripper. Their new single “The Spirit, Alive” is the third track released from their upcoming album Setting Fire To The Sky, dropping January 30, 2026 through Spinefarm Records.
Frontman Joe Nally says it was the first song written for the record and set the tone for everything that came after. The goal this time? Something more hopeful, more uplifting, and built around that idea of a fire that never goes out. Perfect timing for a release on Bonfire Night.
Produced by Justin Hill (SikTh) and mixed by Johann Meyer, Setting Fire To The Sky packs all the grit, groove, and classic heavy-metal energy URNE have been building toward. Nally even said it himself – “I feel like I’m in Metallica in 1988 with what we do.”
The album features guest spots from Mastodon’s Troy Sanders on the nine-minute epic “Harken The Waves” and cellist Jo Quail on the closing track “Breathe.” Artwork comes from New York artist Dan Zollinger, who perfectly captured the album’s balance of fire and reflection.
