This is a collection of short tracks that hit hard, with seventeen songs packed into just 24 minutes. The guitars are the standout here, with distortion that’s disgustingly filthy and riffs that run from rapid-fire chord progressions to downright grimy grooves. Vocals are a mix of deep gutturals and demonic harmonies. Unlike many Goregrind albums, this one lets you actually understand many of the lyrics. Some vocals sound like a blood-clogged growl, but they are not the main styling. The mix is well-balanced, with no instruments drowning each other out. I love the different vocal experimentation on tracks like “Bloated” or “Mummified.” Overall, this was a great listen and something I’ll revisit whenever I need a hit of pure brutality.
